Do flyscreens stop dust?

Flyscreens can help reduce the dust in your home, if not stop it completely.

Can you clean flyscreens?

Yes! When you take an old toothbrush and vacuum to your flyscreen, you can help reduce the dust and dirt accumulated on the screen.

If you really want to get in there, you can always pull the screen out and clean them in your tub or shower. We’ve even seen people who cleaned the flyscreens with a car mitt!

Make sure you don’t forget to pull the flyscreens out and vacuum the flies and other insects that have accumulated on the frame or tracks.

You should clean your flyscreens at least twice a year, but if you’re closer to the coastline, you may need to clean them monthly.

Are fibreglass or aluminium flyscreens better?

It really depends on your needs. If you speak to our team, you’ll be able to find out which flyscreen works best for you. We recommend our aluminium screens for extra strength, though our fibreglass screens are UV stabilised for longer life.
