Bushfire
Protection

The Ecovue double glazed window and double glazed door range conforms to Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) 40, making it suitable for most regions around Australia and New Zealand. Double glazed windows and doors are recognised as one of the measures you can take to protect your home against bushfire. Our double glazed windows and doors come in uPVC frames which are non-combustible.

Upvc windows and upvc doors are an excellent alternative to wood for those customers who live in bushfire prone areas. Our upvc windows and doors are notoriously difficult to ignite with commonly used ignition sources such as matches, lighters etc.

Housing designs that offer greater resistance to radiant heat and ember attack during bushfires also incorporate energy efficient design principles such as double glazed windows and doors in uPVC frames.

Ecovue uPVC frames have no paint and no varnish and will not combust like timber. Paint and varnish burn at relatively low temperatures. Double glazing increases your heat barrier and metal insect screens help resist radiant heat. uPVC frames help prevent some of the damage that is a result of ember attacks before and after a flame front hits.
